The Teracom,
telecom equipment manufacturer has partnered with MTNL, a state-run operator and launched three Android
tablets on Friday. These are entry level tablets launched under the name
“Lofty”.Commenting
on the launch of these tablets, Mukesh Arora, Teracom Chairman and
Managing Director told “In partnership with MTNL, we are launching three
models of ‘Lofty’ tablet with high-end model priced at Rs. 10,999 and
entry level model is for Rs. 3,999.”MTNL will provide a complementary data bundle of 10GB 3G data for two months – both local and roaming with these tablets. Lofty
TZ330 sports a 7 inch resistive touchscreen display with 800 480 pixel
resolution. Further, it is equipped with a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A9
processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The tablet comes with a
0.3MP front facing camera for video calling. It can support data through
the USB data dongles.Being
a mid-range Android tablet, Lofty TZ200 has a 7 inch multi-touch
capacitive touchscreen display with 800 480 pixel resolution. It is
equipped with a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB
internal storage. The tablet supports 3G via USB port.Further, it is also an Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich based tablet with a 0.3MP front camera.TZ100
houses a 7 inch capacitive display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.
The tablet has a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal
memory and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB.Further, TZ100 has a 3MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera for video calling and a SIM slot for voice and data support.
